Tantra & Sacred Sexuality
Tantra Teaches us to Embrace the Full Spectrum of Our Humanity
What is Tantra?
Tantra goes beyond the physical realm, weaving together energy, consciousness, and spirit. It’s a profound exploration of life’s mysteries, inviting individuals to delve deeply into their being, unlock inner wisdom, and experience profound transformation. Tantra offers a pathway to embody love, presence, and the fullness of life.
Ancient tantrics had an intuitive understanding of the connection between matter and spirit—long before modern quantum physics unveiled similar insights. They understood how tantric practices can shift the nervous system and brain, changing thought patterns and responses. Tantra expands consciousness, liberates the body, and frees us from conditioning, allowing us to step into our truth and unlock our authentic essence.
The roots of Tantra are believed to trace back to ancient shamanic and matriarchal societies, where nature and the feminine were revered as powerful forces. From these beginnings, Tantra has evolved and adapted to various cultural contexts, with its rich teachings now woven into both Eastern and Western spiritual traditions.
While Tantra’s interpretations may vary, modern tantric practices remain anchored in these core, transformative principles.

Sacred Sexuality: The Path to Divine Love
In Order to Know the Truth of Love,
One Must Accept the Sacredness of Sex
Neo-Tantra, or tantric sexuality, is a path to higher consciousness and spiritual connection. Practices such as tantric massage and tantric sex channel sexual energy, viewing it as a nourishing life-force energy that expands our understanding of sexuality, eros, intimacy, and spiritual connection.
This holistic approach includes somatic practices that work with the body and mind, fostering personal growth, transformation, and liberation. Tantra empowers individuals by encouraging self-responsibility, authenticity, and a return to personal intuition. It moves beyond traditional spiritual hierarchies and the guru-disciple dynamic, instead promoting a self-guided practice rooted in lived experience.
As Jacinta, the creator of IN-Body shares:
“To me, the tantric path releases our false identities and programming. The fear of death, love, and separation keeps us locked inside ourselves, unable to express fully. Tantra is about mini-deaths, over and over again, as we reveal and transform into who we truly are. It’s a life devoted to love, liberation, and truth. A life filled with authenticity, pleasure, and reverence for the earth, others, and the mystery.”
